Tree of Confusion

For the past two years this tree in our garden has blossomed in November. The flowers are wizened in comparison to the spring, but it's blossom nonetheless.

Is this normal? Or is it that pesky Global Warming monkeying around agin?

A similar thing happened here in Ann Arbor. In additional to the next possible sign of the impact of global warming, I'm wondering how much of a fuss the cherry farmers (MI produces a significant portion of US's cherries) are going to make about this.
