The spice of life?

Have you ever looked at the list of Christian denominations on wikipedia? No? Well then shame on you. Mind, if you're not on broadband, I wouldn't recommend it. The list is as long as your arm.

It's reminiscent of the declared religious affiliation of the US Congress. Extensive, and terrifying as it is;
  • Catholic
  • Baptist
  • Methodist
  • Presbyterian
  • Episcopalian
  • Jewish
  • Lutheran
  • Latter-day Saints
  • United Church of Christ/Congregationalist
  • Christian Scientist
  • Eastern Orthodox/Greek Orthodox
  • Assemblies of God
  • Unitarian
  • Christian Reformed
  • Seventh-day Adventist
  • African Methodist Episcopal
  • Evangelical Free
  • Quaker
  • Community of Christ
  • Foursquare Gospel
  • Nazarene
  • United Brethren in Christ
  • Scientologist
  • Community Church
  • McLean Bible Church
Which gives me a good excuse to post my favourite Life of Brian scene. Enjoy;

How is Jewish a denomination Christianity? Isn't it the other way around? Otherwise, how would the Jesus days have started Christianity? Hmmmm...

I like how you titled your post "The spice of life?" Variety IS the spice of life...too bad the list is of a whole bunch of sects that have WAY MORE similarities than differences. LOL

I didn't say Judaism is a demomination of Christianity.

I was making a comparison with the wiki list and declared US congress religions. The similarity is in its length and apparent diversity, nothing more.

There does seem to be a few notable exceptions from the second list. Namely, humanist or atheist.

God forbid! ;)
